Punkin Hat

This was made from some leftover yarn I had.

Materials:
-4.5 mm circular needles or dpns
-US size 8 (5 mm) straight needles
-Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Carrot (A) and Lime (B)
-Tapestry needle
-A small amount of stuffing (fabric stuffing, not turkey stuffing)

Abbreviations:
sts- stitches
k- knit
p- purl
CO- cast on
BO- bind off
dec- decrease
k2tog- knit 2 together
stockinette st- k1 row, p1 row
Hat:
CO 61 sts in A.
Join in the round.
Row 1:  * k3, p1 * to last st, k1
Row 2:  p1, * k1, p3 * to end
Work these 2 rows until work measures 7.5 inches.
Dec (k2tog) all sts until there are only 15 sts left.
BO all sts.

Stem:
CO 10 sts in B.
Work in stockinette st until work measures 3 in.
BO all sts.

Finishing:
Sew up the top of the hat.
Stuff and sew the stem onto the hat.
